JEE Main 2025 Expected AIR Based on Scores
Factors Affecting JEE Rank Calculation

🔢 How is JEE Main 2025 Rank Calculated?

The National Testing Agency (NTA) uses the percentile normalization method to calculate ranks. The rank depends on:
JEE Main 2025 percentile score
Total number of candidates appearing
Difficulty level of different sessions

📌 Note: Since JEE Main is conducted in multiple sessions, NTA uses percentile scores instead of raw marks for rank calculation.

📊 JEE Main 2025 Marks vs Rank (Expected)

JEE Main Score Expected Percentile Expected AIR (All India Rank)
250+ 99.9+ Top 500
200-250 99 – 99.9 500 – 5,000
150-200 95 – 99 5,000 – 25,000
100-150 85 – 95 25,000 – 80,000
50-100 50 – 85 80,000+

📌 Tip: Higher marks = Better percentile = Lower AIR

🖩 JEE Main 2025 Rank Predictor – Calculate Your AIR

Follow these steps to estimate your JEE Main rank:

1️⃣ Check your raw score – Add total correct answers & apply negative marking.
2️⃣ Find your percentile – Compare with previous years’ percentile vs marks data.
3️⃣ Use JEE Main Rank Formula:

Estimated Rank=100−Percentile Score100×Total Candidates\text{Estimated Rank} = \frac{100 – \text{Percentile Score}}{100} \times \text{Total Candidates}

(Total candidates appearing in JEE Main 2025 are expected to be 10-12 lakh.)

✅ Example Calculation:

  • If your percentile = 98
  • Total candidates = 10 lakh
  • Estimated Rank = (100 – 98) / 100 × 10,00,000 = 20,000

📢 Factors Affecting JEE Main 2025 Rank

Total number of students appearing
Exam difficulty level
Performance of top scorers
Tie-breaking criteria (higher Maths/Physics scores)

📌 Tip: The first attempt cut-offs may be lower, but April session ranks may change as more students appear.
