JEE Main 2026 Application Form

The registration for JEE Main 2026 is available from 31st Oct 2025 for Session 1.
The application for the entire process is to be online. Forms by any other means will be rejected.
Students can sign up for one or both sessions. Question Paper will be in bilingual form i.e in Hindi or English.
Application details once submitted cannot be changed under any circumstances, so check them thoroughly before submitting the form.
Apply only once, multiple applications will be denied. Severe action could also be taken against repeated applicants.
Application form filling is a multi-stage process – registration, application submission, photo and signature upload fee payment & firm confirmation charaya.
Once application form will be filled and submitted, students are not required to send any documents in support of the claim made by them in the Form/confirmation page to the authority’s office at any stage through post/fax/email/hand delivery etc., Students claiming reservation need not submit photocopy of Caste/disability certificates.

JEE Main 2026 Form Correction
The correction window for the application form of JEE Main 2026 is opened few days post conclusion of registration. Editable details can be changed by the students online (When they login) . There shall be no correspondence in this regard by post/ fax/ mail/ hand.
On the other hand, for January session JEE Main 2026 Correction can be made from 1st to 2nd December, 2025. For April session, it will commence from 1st – 2nd week of March 2026 for (April session). One time exception will be provided to candidates in case of Editing facility only.
JEE Main 2026 Eligibility Criteria

· Qualifying Exam -Students who have passed class 12th or appearing for it in the year 2026,2025or 2024 are only eligible to apply.
· Age Limit: The candidates applying have not been mentioned to have any age bar. However, students must meet age requirements of the school in which they are enrolling.

· Nationality: Indian as well as foreign nationals can apply. Foreign candidates have to secure marks as per the AIU requirement to apply for JEE Main.

· Mode of Exam: JEE Main 2026 Paper 1 & 2 will be conducted in CBT mode. But, test of drawing for Paper 2 (Architecture) will be conducted offline mode (Pen and paper based).
· Number of Papers: There will be total one paper for B.E./ B.Tech. For B.Arch, Paper 2A & for B.Plan,Paper 2B will be conducted.
· Choice of Medium of Paper: The paper will be held in 13 languages – English, Hindi, Bengali, Assamese, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Punjabi, Odia,Telugu,Tamil & Urdu.
· Types of Questions: Paper consist multiple choice questions (MCQs).
· Duration: 3 Hours will be provided for each Paper (Paper 1 & Paper 2A& 2B). Paper 2A & 2B together, time duration is 3:30 hours. PWD candidates will also be eligible for an extra 20 minutes, but only for a one-hour exam.
· Marking: 4 marks will be awarded for each correct answer. -1 for each wrong answer.

JEE Main 2026 City Intimation Slip
The city intimation slip will be available before the release of the admit card by NTA. It will carry details about the appearing candidate such as exam city, exam date etc. Candidates have to log into the portal using their login credentials to check in which city they have been allotted.
It will be declared in the first week of January 2026 for January session. For session-2, a forward city intimation slip will be provided in second week of March 2026.

National Testing Agency (NTA) will announce JEE Main admit card 2026 three to four days prior the examination date in online mode. Log on and enter proper log-on information at the website to obtain the syllabus. Applicants will need to enter details -application number and date of birth to download the admit card.
Hardcopy of the JEE Main 2026 admit card will be required to attend the entrance exam. It will contain the name, roll no., exam name, time and date for the exam, signature etc. The candidates will have to take a valid admit card and only valid Photo ID for verification on the day of examination.
JEE Main 2026 Answer Key
JEE Main 2026 Answer key will be released via online mode for appeared candidates only. It will be available as a seperate download for each session on the web site. The answer key of the exam is available in the PDF format.
Also, the candidates will have an opportunity to challenge the JEE Main answer key if they find any discrepancies in it. Candidates will be predicting their marks in exam with the help of answer key. A final answer key will be issued after considering all questioned against an answer key.
JEE Main 2026 Result
JEE Main result 2026 will be declared by 12th February 2026 for Session 1. Candidates will be required to open the website to check results through online method. In order to download the result, candidates will need to enter their login credentials like application number and date of birth.
Session II Result will be declared on April 20, 2026 It includes NTA score, roll number, percentile and more. This would also let the list of top 2,50,000 rankers of NTA exam be forwarded to JEE Advanced examination. The candidates will be required to download the JEE Main 2026 scorecard from the website and preserve it for their admission process.

JEE Main 2026 Cut Off
NTA will announce the qualifying cut off by online mode. Applicants need to check the JEE Main cut off list from the official site of NTA. Then it will available in online mode after result announcement.
Separate opening & closing ranks for both sessions of JEE Main would be published. Cut off will also specify the minimum marks that candidates have to secure for appearing in JEE Advanced 2026 examination.
JEE Main 2026 Counselling
The JEE Main 2026 counselling process will be conducted by JoSAA in online mode. The complete notfication of JoSAA counselling & scheule will release in the month of April/ May 2026. The eligible applicants in JEE Main 2026 examination will be invited to attend JoSAA counselling process for taking admission in IITs.
Finally, the candidates will have to do the registration for counselling as well and join it. CSAB counselling process (special round) will be conducted for admissions to NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. The counselling will include the steps like registration, filling of choices, choice locking, seat allotment and payment of the seat acceptance fee. During this process, an original document of the candidate also needs to be available for verification.
